Funeral Benefit

A cash benefit ranging from a fixed ₱12,000 (for 1-35 contributions) up to a variable ₱20,000 to ₱60,000 (for 36+ contributions) granted to whoever paid the funeral expenses of a deceased SSS member.

Death Certificate of the deceased member (PSA copy or Certified True Copy)
Official Receipt of funeral expenses naming the claimant as payor
Valid ID of the claimant (Original and Photocopy)
Disbursement Account enrollment (DAEM) of claimant
Proof of contributions of the deceased member (at least 1 contribution)

Application Process

1Secure a Certified True Copy of the Death Certificate from the local civil registry or PSA.
2Gather official receipt from the funeral parlor showing the claimant's name as payor.
3Log in to My.SSS Portal (E-Services tab) and select 'Apply for Funeral Benefit Claim'.
4Fill out the online application and upload the Death Certificate, Funeral Receipt, and claimant ID.
5Wait for approval and direct credit to the enrolled claimant bank account.
