A cash benefit paid to female SSS members who gave birth, suffered a miscarriage, or underwent emergency termination of pregnancy.

Document Requirements

Maternity Notification submitted prior to delivery
Proof of Childbirth (Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate / Certificate of Live Birth)
At least 3 monthly SSS contributions in the 12-month period immediately preceding the semester of childbirth
Enrolled bank account (DAEM)
Medical certificate or ultrasound report (for miscarriages)

1Submit Maternity Notification (Mat-1) online through My.SSS portal as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.
2After delivery/miscarriage, submit the Maternity Benefit Application (Mat-2) with required documents.
3For employed members: SSS advances payment to the employer, who must pay the employee. SSS reimburses the employer.
4For voluntary/self-employed members: SSS pays directly to the enrolled bank account.
