Retirement Benefit

A cash benefit paid to an SSS member who can no longer work due to old age, granted either as a lifetime monthly pension or a lump sum amount.

Document Requirements

Prepared0 / 6 (0%)

Must be at least 60 years old (optional) or 65 years old (technical retirement)
Must be separated from employment or ceased self-employment (for optional retirement at 60)
At least 120 monthly contributions prior to the semester of retirement (to qualify for a monthly pension)
No outstanding SSS salary loan in default
Retirement Claim Application (SSS Form DDR-1)
UMID Card or two valid government IDs

1Ensure you have an approved disbursement account in the SSS Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM).
2Log in to your My.SSS online portal.
3Navigate to E-Services and file the Retirement Claim Application online.
4Upload any required supporting documents (e.g., Certificate of Separation).
5Wait for approval and the initial pension credit to your bank account.
